Cookie Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how HelpingGeeks (“we”, “us”, or “our”), operating the Creadefy platform at creadefy.com, uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit or use the website, dashboard, and related services (the “Service”).
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. In this policy, we refer to all of these as “cookies” unless we say otherwise.
Cookies may be session cookies (they expire when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (they remain until they expire or you delete them). They may be first-party cookies set by Creadefy, or third-party cookies set by providers we use. The Duration column below is how long each item typically stays.
2. Why we use cookies
- Keep you signed in and protect account security.
- Remember your dashboard theme and pricing currency display.
- Protect forms and sign-up from automated abuse.
- Measure how the marketing site is used.
- Run in-product support chat.
Strictly necessary cookies are set so the Service can work. Analytics and support tools may also set cookies as described below. You can control cookies in your browser.
3. Essential cookies
These are required for login and security. They are always on. Blocking them in your browser may break sign-in or parts of the dashboard.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| next-auth.session-token / __Secure-next-auth.session-token | Creadefy | Keeps your authenticated session so you can use the dashboard. | Up to 7 days |
| next-auth.csrf-token / __Host-next-auth.csrf-token | Creadefy | Protects sign-in and account actions against cross-site request forgery. | Session |
| next-auth.callback-url | Creadefy | Returns you to the correct page after Google, GitHub, or email sign-in. | Session |
| creadefy_session_cache | Creadefy (local storage) | Short-lived sign-in hint for the UI. It does not store your full profile. | About 5 minutes |
| _GRECAPTCHA | Google reCAPTCHA | Helps distinguish people from bots on sign-up, feedback, and related forms. | Up to 6 months |
4. Preference storage
The Service can remember a few display choices on your device. These are not used for advertising.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| creadefy-theme | Creadefy (local storage) | Stores your dashboard theme so the interface matches your last choice. | Until you clear site data |
| sidebar_state | Creadefy | Remembers whether the dashboard sidebar is open or closed. | 7 days |
| creadefy-pricing-currency | Creadefy (local storage) | Remembers whether public pricing is shown in INR or USD. | Until you clear site data |
5. Functional cookies
Functional cookies power Intercom Messenger for support chat.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| intercom-id-*, intercom-session-*, intercom-device-id-* | Intercom | Identify your Messenger session so conversations can continue across pages. | Up to 9 months / session |
6. Analytics cookies
We use Google Analytics on the marketing site to understand aggregate traffic and page use.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors for aggregate site statistics. | Up to 2 years |
| _gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors for a shorter reporting window. | 24 hours |
| _ga_* | Google Analytics | Persists the Analytics session and campaign state. | Up to 2 years |
7. Diagnostics
We use Sentry to capture application errors so we can keep the Service stable. On the dashboard, Sentry may also record Session Replay to diagnose product issues. This is reliability monitoring, not advertising.
8. Marketing cookies
We do not currently load advertising or retargeting pixels. If we add such tools, we will update this policy.
9. Third-party cookies
Sign-in with Google or GitHub may set cookies on those providers’ domains as part of OAuth. Payments are handled by Razorpay. Optional Unsplash image search in the template builder sends the search terms you type to Unsplash to return results. Cloudflare provides DNS, CDN, and security for creadefy.com, and may set cookies such as __cf_bm to help distinguish people from bots. Those providers have their own privacy and cookie notices.
10. Legal basis
For users in the EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions, we rely on legitimate interests (and, where applicable, performance of a contract) for cookies needed to run the Service. Analytics and support tools are described in this policy. For users in India, this notice is provided under applicable law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, once in force for our processing.
11. Managing cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser. If you block essential cookies, sign-in and other core features may not work. We do not currently respond to Do Not Track signals because there is no common industry standard for them.
